No Current Plans To Bring In Mercedes Mone On AEW

Mercedes Mone was once thought to be a guarantor for AEW, but that hasn’t happened yet. Now that 2023 is coming to an end, her name is actively being thrown around in the rumor mill. Mercedes Mone could return to WWE at this point.

The company is certainly different, no longer guided by Vince McMahon’s creative decisions that led to his departure in April 2022.

Sean Sapp said in a behind-the-paywall Q&A on Fightful that she had not heard of any discussions between Mercedes Mone and WWE. It was also noted that the work program that AEW had to involve ex-Sasha Banks will no longer be implemented.

“I haven’t heard anything except that the once working plans for Mercedes and AEW are no longer working plans”

Mercedes Mone worked in Japan and made many memories. She still has very close relationships with many WWE Superstars and the company is under new leadership with Triple H at the helm.

WWE’s Royal Rumble will take place on January 27th at Tropicana Field. It would be very interesting to see Mercedes Monet return at this big event and the timing could be perfect.

Only time will tell if Mercedes Mone ends up in WWE. At this point, it looks like Tony Khan’s plans to bring her to AEW are not coming to fruition.
