Seth Rollins vs Bray Wyatt Hell In A Cell in jury

The ‘Legend Killer’ Randy Orton vs. ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt

‘Viper in the family’ is perhaps one of the most intriguing storylines the WWE have attempted in the last decade or so. Set into motion sometime after SummerSlam 2016, the storyline saw Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton go head to head with each other.

Over the course of the next few months, Wyatt beat Orton and welcomed him into his Wyatt Family. Doubts lingered over his loyalty. However, Orton proved his faithfulness to the Wyatt Family leader pushing him out of harms way and taking Roman Reigns’ spear at Survivor series instead.

Orton slowly became Wyatt’s favourite which irked Luke Harper. Harper and Wyatt eventually turned on each other leaving an unsuspecting Wyatt alone by Orton’s side. With Orton winning the Royal Rumble and Wyatt prising the title off of John Cena, the stage was set to culminate one of the best storylines heading into Wrestlemania.

What we got instead was a disappointing end to the feud with a lacklustre match. The house of horrors match that followed soon after did no favours to the two wrestlers. Randy Orton has now opened up about Bray Wyatt.

Orton told Sportskeeda that he believes he works best against a certain type of wrestlers and Wyatt does not fit that mould. However, he did not rule out a potential clash in the future. He even went on to compare Wyatt’s latest reincarnation with the Undertaker.

“Personally, I think I tend to perform the best with a certain type of character, type of WWE Superstar and Bray Wyatt doesn’t really fit that mold,” Orton said. “But I think with his ability to tell a story, his ability to portray the characters he’s come up with so well, I think that it’s something that we would have to do in the future.

“Hopefully, The Fiend is around for a long time and he’s the new Undertaker, and I can’t see how we’d miss each other if that is the case.”

Orton revealed he plans to wrestle for a long time and is confident he will cross paths with the Fiend at some point.

“I’m going to wrestle until I’m 48, 47, whatever, into my late 40s, a long time,” Orton continued. “I’ll cross paths with The Fiend at some point and hopefully, we’ll put on a good show and tell a great story.

“The story’s there because, I think it was 2017, maybe 2016 that I was actually in the Wyatt Family. I got to wrestle Bray at WrestleMania. Beat him for the title. If The Fiend has a bone to pick with anybody, it will be the Legend Killer. It will be very interesting.”

Both Orton and Wyatt are set to challenge the champions of their respective brands. If they win and hold on to their titles until Survivor series, there’s a chance the rematch could come sooner. Both men will surely look forward to the occasion. At the moment however, their focus will be SummerSlam.
