Shad Gaspard Remembered On His Birthday After Tragic Passing

Shad Gaspard tragically passed away in May 2020 after sacrificing himself to save his son.
More than three years after his tragic death, WWE is remembering Shad Gaspard’s birthday today.

Gaspard was found caught in a strong current on the shores of Venice Beach, California. While swimming with his son, they were both swept away by strong waves.

In a heroic effort, Shad Gaspard pushed his son towards the lifeguard before he himself was submergedj by the waves.
Sadly, he was never seen again after the incident.

WWE commemorated Shad Gaspard’s birthday today, January 13th, on Twitter.
Fans flocked to the comments section to pay tribute to the fallen WWE veteran’s heroic actions.

Gaspard received the Warrior Award at the 2022 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony.

Shad’s wife Syriana was escorted to the ring by her former tag team partner JTG and their son to accept her award on behalf of her husband.
