Shad Gaspard To Have Cup Hosted In His Honor

Shad Gaspard heroically sacrificed himself to save his son and tragically passed away in May 2020.

He made many friends during his time in WWE, and now former WWE stars have announced the creation of the Shad Gaspard Memorial Cup tournament to honor the late WWE star.

“Da Pope” Elijah Burke announced on Instagram that the first Shad Gaspard Memorial Cup will be held on April 20th.

The tournament will be held at the Murray Hill Baptist Church Gymnasium in Jacksonville, Florida. Doors to the show open at 6pm local time and bell hour begins at 7pm.

”History is about to be made as we honor WWE Hall Of Famer, Shad Gaspard.

Mark your calendars and be sure to join us on April 20th for the Inaugural Shad Gaspard Memorial Cup where 8 men will compete for the Beast Award.”

The event, held in partnership with Love Alive Charity and with the approval of Shad’s widow Syriana, will see eight men vie for the Beast Award in honor of the late WWE Superstar.

In 2022, Shad Gaspard posthumously received the Warrior Award at the WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony.

Shad’s wife Syriana accepted the award in the ring, accompanied by former tag team partner JTG and her son.

WWE also remembered that January 13th is Shad Gaspard’s birthday.It will be interesting to see who wins the first Shad Gaspard Memorial Cup.
