A non-governmental Society seems to have gotten the lead with the Osun State Governor Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in a petition written to the EFCC seeking for the indulgence of the Commission to invite the Governor for investigation on mismanagement of Local Government funds.

In their petition to the Office of the EFCC the group disclosed how MR Rauf Aregbesola has been diverting the allocation meant for Local Government to another thing entirely in the state and his failure to conduct chairmanship election in the state since he emerged the governorship position, which is unconstitutional.

Civil Societies Coalition for the Emancipation of Osun State also revealed that the State Governor also embark in road construction project that is meant for Local Government claiming to be on the project on behalf of the Local Government without him following normal procedure.

the Society now urged federal Government to for a while stop disbursing the allocation for the Local government, to the state purse because its not utilized as expected that this had created lots of chaos in Osun State.

Meanwhile, EFCC now called on the group to visit their office at Oyebode Crescent Iyaganku G.R.A Ibadan for proper and further enquiries, so also to notify them on the commencement of the investigation.
