WWE Contemplates Moving Summmerslam Match To Payback

WWE brought home the episode of RAW before SummerSlam this week, and they have a lot to talk about tonight’s show. That said, they’ve also made a slight tweak to the biggest card party of the summer.

Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes have been at it for months, and we’re still here, yet’ to know why. Lesnar has just decided to activate Rhodes, ending his run of baby faces. This kicked off a trilogy of matches, and fans got the last dose of this feud on RAW ahead of SummerSlam.

Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar will be up against some special rules for their third match game. Earlier that night, an MMA rule was added to the match between Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler.

This week’s episode of WWE RAW also saw Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch fight. early. Trish’s ally Zoey Stark didn’t let this fight go too far. After Stark jumped into the match, the referee rang the bell.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall, that WWE had discussed holding the match and moving it to Payback.

WWE Raw saw a major development for a match scheduled for WWE Summerslam.

wrestlingnewsplus learned on Monday night. that the match between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus that was scheduled for Summerslam has been postponed.

We are told things have changed this weekend regarding Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus and the match was discussed for a move to WWE Payback, before it was announced. on August 14. All commercials and matches were scheduled for a single segment on WWE Raw.

Becky Lynch wasn’t originally scheduled to spend time with Summerslam, despite rumors online.

We’ll have to see what WWE does next in this situation. A lot can happen, but we won’t know until it hits TV at this rate.
