All eyes are set for WWE Fastlane taking place this Sunday at the BMO Bradley Harris Center in Milwaukee, WI. This RAW exclusive pay per view is the last one before the WWE Universe heads on to the grandest event of the year, WrestleMania 33.

Many rivalries will come to a head as Sunday evening rolls by, and the WWE superstars take to the ring to put on a show for the thousands in attendance in Milwaukee and millions watching around the globe.

Goldberg will look to spear his way into the record books one more

Kevin Owens(c) vs. Goldberg for the WWE Universal Championship

This match may very well be Goldberg’s last shot at a WWE Championship. The WCW veteran fell short at the Royal Rumble but he will look to capitalise in the main event at Fastlane. Owens and Goldberg have shot down each other several times on Twitter and this past week Owens made it clear that he had no intention of parting with the Universal title.

Owens claimed that he was never impressed by Goldberg’s streak and he would still walk out of Milwaukee as the WWE Universal Champion.

This match has split the WWE Universe right down the middle. Many believe that Owens will retain owing to an interference from Lesnar or Chris Jericho. It is clear that WWE is planning for a showdown between Owens and Jericho, but whether that match will involve the Universal title is a different question altogether.

With Chris Jericho absent from ringside, the stacks are heavily stacked against current champion Kevin Owens. Goldberg will come at him like a raging bull.

Goldberg took apart Lesnar in just 86 seconds at Survivor Series and going by that statistic Kevin Owens would not last a minute. But this a different match and a different opponent. Add to that the fact that the WWE Universal Championship hangs in the balance and we have a very different setting indeed.

The Big Dog’ goes against the ‘Monster amongst Men’
Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman has dominated Roman Reigns like no one else on the WWE roster. Over the past couple of weeks, Strowman has had Reigns’ number even costing him an opportunity to win the WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble. This past week on RAW, the contract signing between the two behemoths ended in total devastation with a security guard caught in the midst of the crossfire.

Reigns will get his chance to avenge these attacks when he faces the ‘Monster among Men’ in a one-on-one showdown. Reigns has a date with the Deadman at WrestleMania and this match will pave the way for the epic encounter at the grandest stage in April. Roman has been dominated by Strowman in the weeks leading up to the event and this encounter will be Roman’s chance to redeem himself and gain credibility to establish himself as a worthy opponent for the Undertaker.

Prediction: Roman Reigns defeats Braun Strowman

Charlotte looks to make it 17-0 this Sunday at Fastlane

Bayley(c) vs. Charlotte Flair for the RAW Women’s Championship

Charlotte Flair invoked her rematch clause for the Women’s Championship after losing it to Bayley on Monday Night RAW. Charlotte is 16-0 in pay per views and she will look to improve on those statistics at Fastlane. The Queen has ridiculed and criticised Bayley several times on RAW for winning the Championship under dubious circumstances. Bayley, however, has remained steadfast despite Charlotte’s vicious comments and Stephanie’s orders.

Bayley will take on her fellow Horsewoman in hopes of retaining the Women’s Championship in this riveting contest. WWE has built up Charlotte’s PPV streak for a while now and it seems unlikely that they would squander something like that in a second tier pay per view like Fastlane.

History is on Charlotte’s side as she has not lost a singles pay per view contest for over a year. It looks like the Queen’s genetic superiority will give her the edge in this match

Prediction: Charlotte Flair defeats Bayley to win the RAW Women’s Championship

Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax

Sasha Banks has not been able to feature into the Women’s Championship Championship picture due to one reason – Nia Jax. Nia has been at her dominant best since her debut taking down her opponents with no mercy. Sasha was at the receiving end of Jax’s wrath when she attacked her knee and shelved her for weeks. Sasha will look for redemption in the Royal Rumble rematch as she tries to take down the woman who claims to have broken ‘The Boss’.

Nia Jax has been like a freight train rolling down on her opponents, and this pay per view looks to be no different. There are rumors of a fatal four-way match for the women’s championship at WrestleMania and Nia needs the win to cement her as the devastating competitor going into Mania. As for Sasha, she might be turning heel soon, and a loss would give impetus to that impending turn.

Prediction: Nia Jax defeats Sasha Banks

Neville(c) vs. Jack Gallagher for the Cruiserweight Championship

Battle of the Royals, as a ‘King’ takes on a ‘Gentleman’, Neville will be looking to write another glorious chapter in his title reign as the “King of the Cruiserweights” when he takes on the persistent Jack Gallagher.

This is the first time since his return that Neville has looked vulnerable against an opponent in the Cruiserweight division.

He laid waste to anyone that came in his way during his quest for championship gold in the Cruiserweight division. The unique and unconventional Jack Gallagher will put on a show to dethrone the King as he aspires to add some class to the Cruiserweight Division.

Neville has been going through a dream run since his return, and it looks like Gallagher will not be able to stop Neville’s momentum. It is a known fact that Gallagher is incredibly talented inside the ropes, but he does not have the credibility to carry the cruiserweight division yet. Neville is a clear favourite despite Jack Gallagher putting up the fight of his life.
