Finn Balor was not really for the night match per-say, he was there for something better and yet to be fully figured out. His absence was tangible but that wasn’t for the whole night, fans in the arena still got to see him once the cameras stopped rolling.

Samoa Joe got the advantage during the encounter against Seth Rollins on Monday Night Raw. The Samoan Submission Machine got the better of the Kingslayer and that was the beginning of the day.

When all thought the game was over after all the camera has stopped counting, Rollins pumped up and avenged his defeat with the help of the Finn Balor, who did not appear on the episode, which eventually led to the two faces having a bit of fun with the Demon King’s entrance theme.

However, the Samoa Joe was remarkable as everyone saw that he did better than Rollins, gave hand better take home punches in his match against Seth Rollins. But that was not the end of the story, the new Number one contender was aided by a distraction from Bray Wyatt, which allowed him to lock in the Coquina Clutch.

As things tumbled over, Joe eventually fell Rollins with superman attacks and as he stood right above Rollins, Wyatt appeared, walked down into the squared ring once the cameras stopped rolling and got in his face. The two big men stared each other down before double teaming on the Architect. People thought something else would have happened, yes, there was that tension in the atmosphere but just right there, Balor came to Rollins rescue. What a grace!

The faces then joined forces and went on to clear the ring, after which both stars delivered their finishing moves.

The night ended on a good note for the fans in the arena as the faces prevailed and then went on to have some fun with Balor’s entrance theme. As they celebrated gaining the upper-hand, Finn proceeded to teach Rollins when exactly to raise his hands in the air during the song.

But that is not the end of the story, I suppose, this interference could indicate that Wyatt might feud with Rollins in the coming weeks but considering the build-up in the past that hints at a Wyatt-Balor feud, WWE could go either way with this. Things should get much clearer after the next episode.
