SmackDown Live aftershow Talking Smack has been the source of some of the most explosive promos of the year in WWE, but Intercontinental Champion The Miz and Natalya brought their most savage burns to primetime in back-to-back promos.

The Miz successfully defended his title against Apollo Crews despite the fact that his wife Maryse was ejected from ringside, and Talking Smack host Renee Young entered the ring to perform an interview after the match. Young, who has been in a relationship with SmackDown star Dean Ambrose for quite some time (which was officially made public by the WWE reality show Total Divas), asked The Miz if his “obsession” with Ambrose hindered his performance. The Miz had a perfect reply in store, but it resulted in Young smacking him and storming out of the ring.

Immediately afterward, Natalya made an entrance to address the long-running claim that she was the one who attacked Nikki Bella prior to her match at Survivor Series. After it was revealed that Natalya was the assailant (and Carmella was thrown into a Christmas tree), Natalya admitted that she’s always hated Nikki Bella, who she says has been given everything in her career because of her beauty instead of her talent. Natalya then dropped the most personal insult against Nikki Bella that one could conceivably deliver:

“You are a nothing, and that’s why John will never marry you.”

Cena revealed in a Rolling Stone profile earlier this year that he’s adamantly opposed to getting married, which has caused problems in his relationship.

“Just because everyone else is happy with children doesn’t mean that’s how I have to live,” Cena said. “I’ve been upfront about this. I just have things I need to get done. It’s not negotiable. We’ve been to therapy over it. I don’t think it will ever be over with. I’m stubborn as fuck and extremely selfish as well. I don’t want kids, I don’t want marriage. That’s me just saying, ‘Hey, this is my life and this is how I’m going to live.”
