According to F4WOnline, another wrestling legend is dead; he died at the age of 81 few days ago.

Mario Milano, has the reputation as one very influential and prominent wrestler in Australia where he had many championship reigns. He wrestled in the United States before he moved to Australia, where he spent the rest of his active life as a wrestler.

Word is that, he had gone to Australia intending to stay for just three months, but things swung like the pendulum and Milano eventually stayed back permanently. His Australian World Championship Wrestling outing remains one remarkable feat in his career.

Hence, it’s fitting to pin that Milano began wrestling in Venezuela, after which he moved on to compete in the United States and Australia.

Milano covered lots of ground in the wrestling; he won the prestigious IWA World Heavyweight Championship 4 times during his career; the NWA Southern Tag Team Championship along with Jackie Fargo, on 5 November 1963 and very importantly he was a tag team wrestler after winning the coveted NWA World Tag Team Championship.

Several names offered their condolences over Twitter:

Alex Titan offered his tribute to Milano by posting a message on his Facebook page, which you can read the post below:

R.I.P Mario Milano (1935 – 2016) It absolutely breaks my heart to inform the wider community that a true pioneer and definition of ‘Legend’ in the industry, Mario Bulfone (Milano) has tragically passed away moments ago. I’m at a total loss, no words can accurately describe his achievements in this business – likely to never be matched. My deepest condolences to his family, including the beautiful soul Breanna Bulfone, I can’t imagine you’re pain right now x
