Wrestling icon and current WWE Smackdown commentator Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler was arrested for domestic assault this morning – along with his fiancee Lauryn McBride.

The Police were unable to determine the instigator of the incident as a result, the both were arrested and are currently behind bars.

Although the true cause of the incident is yet to be known, Report has it that the incident include the presence of a gun, and a suicide threat.

WWE released a statement on its website with regards to the incident: “WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, and per our policy, Jerry Lawler has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest.”

It is unclear what WWE will do with their Smackdown announce team going forward while this case is resolved but there is a desire among fans to see NXT’s Corey Graves fill Lawler’s seat.
