Josh Bredl took part in the sixth season of Tough Enough, eventually going on to win the show via the fan vote and earning himself a £250,000 1-year contract with the WWE, losing to Cesaro in the final.

Bredl was renamed Bronson Matthews and reported to NXT where he made his first live event appearance on December 3rd, 2015.

It is being reported by PWInsider.com that the WWE chose to release former Tough Enough winner Josh Bredl, aka Bronson Matthews.

Since his debut on NXT late 2015, Bredl has not really been used by the WWE, with the Superstar not even reporting to the performance centre for training. It is believed that he is currently injured, suffering from what is said to have been concussion-related injuries.

Bredl becomes the latest in the growing list of WWE names that are being let go by the company, although his remain the least surprising so far given how little he’s featured since he won Tough Enough.

One of the common themes that seem to be present in most of the current WWE releases, with the exception of Emma, is that all of them have had significant time off recently due to injury.
