The Viking Raiders haven’t appeared on WWE television as a duo in quite some time.

The company is pushing Ivar alone and there’s a reason for that. Erik is out of action and he needs to have fusion surgery on his neck so he will be out for a while.

Erik is currently recovering from fusion surgery. It’s unclear when he’ll have surgery, but it appears it’s already happening with the tag team specialist.

On November 1, Erik made an announcement on Instagram about his recent C6/C7 cervical fusion surgery.

He expressed his gratitude to the medical team and WWE, and confirmed that the surgery was successful and that he is now starting the recovery process.

I cannot express the proper gratitude and thankfulness to the amazing Dr Cordover and his incredible staff at @andrews_sports_medicine and St Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, AL and to @wwe for always making sure I have the best care possible.

C6 / C7 fusion surgery was successful and recovery begins now.

Erik last appeared in a wrestling match on the September 14 episode of WWE Main Event, which was taped on September 11. Although he was scheduled to appear on the September 18 episode of WWE Raw, Erik was scheduled to appear on the September 18 episode of WWE Raw. he was unable to participate.

Since then, Erik has remained outside the ring, not competing in singles. On the October 2 episode of WWE Raw, Wade Barrett mentioned that Erik would be taking an extended rest.
