WWE’s New NXT’s Team Name Might Be A Shade At AEW

Published

A WWE Superstar’s name can make or break a company. The same goes for tag teams, with a new name joining the up-and-coming NXT brand tandem.

A recent episode of NXT Level Up featured a tag team match between Mark Coffey and Wolfgang Von Gallus vs. Tyson Dupont and Tyreke Igwe.

Dupont and Igwe only fought a few matches at the level up, but apparently they chose new names.

During backstage interviews before the fight, Tyson Dupont and Tyreek Igwe repeatedly referred to themselves as “TNT.”

This name was not included in official graphics or listings, but appears to have been adopted as a nickname.

However, please note that the use of “TNT” may not be official due to possible conflicts, such as the relationship between the TNT network and AEW.

In the past, D-Von Dudley’s sons, Terrence Hughes and Terrell Hughes, used the name TNT, but they stopped using it during AEW Dark and Elevation matches.

It remains to be seen whether Tyson and Tyreek’s use of TNT will become official, but that is the name they are currently using.

There are other very interesting connections to the use of TNT in the world of professional wrestling.

This is a very interesting name for the team, especially considering that TNT is the name of the network that currently hosts WWE matches, but that doesn’t prevent TNT from becoming WWE’s tag team name.

We’ll have to see what happens with TNT.
