Former United States Champion Alberto Del Rio is currently down with injury — an injury he sustained while taking one of Brock Lesnar‘s vertical suplexes at the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view in the 30-man main event.

So should Lesnar be blamed? No at all. Lesnar himself is one of the safest and most-skilled wrestlers in the company. He happens to be in the same league that begot the likes of CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and Dean Malenko who make sure that any injury you secured while wrestling with them must be by share accident.

While we wish WWE an injury free season, the truth remains that more and more stars go down nearly every fortnightly. F4Wonline.com reports that Del Rio would be back sooner than you can imagine. But first, he would be reevaluated at Monday’s RAW from Birmingham, Alabama, and they should have a better idea of his status after that.

Be it as it may, Del Rio vs. WWE United States Champion Kalisto is already planned for the Fastlane pay-per-view on February 21st but that plan might change if the injury is confirmed to be severe.

We shall keep you posted as things unfold!
