Before now, George has been going through some medical problems which have kept him in hospice according to report. Some hours ago, it was announced that George “The Animal” Steele has passed away. This was a shock to all in the WWE universe include the officials.

Report has it that the report was first broken by legend Hulk Hogan, George “The Animal” Steele passed away. Hulk Hogan posted on twitter, announcing the death of the legend who just passed away. He was born on April 16, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan, US and died at the aged 79 a few hours ago.

Steele left the WWF without any WWF Championships behind him, he grew to become one of the most recognised and popular figures in WWF history, and was inducted into the WWF Hall Of Fame in 1995.

Our sources revealed that many other pro wrestling personalities such as Jim Ross, Cody Rhodes, Court Bauer, Shane “Hurricane” Helms, and more have come forth on twitter to pay their condolences and respects to the fallen legend.
