Spanish prosecutor as order the presence of Neymar in court following a case filed against him, c linking him with fraud over his 2013 transfer deal to Barcelona from Santos. Prosecutors have requested that Neymar is tried for fraud in relation to his big-money move to Barcelona from Santos in 2013, following the uncertainty in the deal.

The Catalan giants announced that they paid a transfer fee of 57 million euros (around $65M) for the Brazil captain, with Santos receiving €17 million of that and Neymar’s parents receiving the remainder.

Both Neymar and Barcelona had denied any wrong doing, however a Brazilian investment fund that owned 40% of Neymar’s right as reviewed it was not paid the money it was owed, as claimed by the player.

An investigation claims the transfer fee for Neymar was much higher than reported – at €83 million – and that the details were hidden from the public.
