It has just been reported that WWE is set to sign a new contract with popular IWGP Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura as soon as January when his contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling will expire.

Nakamura will be welcomed to America as soon as WWE signs the contract with him any time soon but the fear is that age is counting against him as he hit 35 this year.

While a fraction of fans argue that age is not in Nakamura’s side, WWE has completed the signing of Samoa Joe and James Storm, who are slightly older than the IWGP Intercontinental Champion.

However, Nakamura has some things counting in his favor. He has a great and unmatched charisma, speaks good English and is about 6’2″ tall.

Sources disclosed that Nakamura has a match on January 4, 2016 against injured AJ Styles at Wrestle Kingdom 10 but that match is unlikely to hold owing to Styles’ recent injury.

Worthy to note also is that Nakamura has always dreamed of pursuing his career in the U.S and right about now, it seems that that dream is coming true before his very eyes.
