Doug Somers who is also known as “Pretty Boy” began his career with WWE Hall of Famer Harley Race who taught him how to climb the wrestling rope. During his wrestling career he wrestled in many promotions; hence, he did matches against Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Sting and others although he spent most of his time in AWA.

Later in his career, Somers did enhancement work for WWE and WCW but last wrestled an indie match in 2012. In 2011, Somers filed a lawsuit against WWE over their use of AWA footage with his likeness but he never was the case.

Having done all he could, Somers resorted to working with small promotions for the sole purpose of training younger wrestlers for the future of wrestling and that thought and contribution is appreciated, but only too soon, death came knocking.

We all at wrestlingnewsplus send our condolences to the family, friends, and fans of Somers. May his soul rest in peace?
