A former WWE Diva and a former Knockout in Impact Wrestling has announced that she’s nearly reaching the finishing line of her wrestling career.

Shelly Martinez also known as “Ariel” is one sure Superstar who falls into the category of stars who does not get along with all other wrestlers and superstars for a reason or two.

According to her, the main reason why the WWE fired her was because of Dave Bautista (Batista). Martinez is still quite bitter about it and she said as much when speaking recently in a video clip.

The issue between Shelly Martinez and Batista happened about 10 years ago and it still causes Martinez a lot of problems. She said;

“I’ve been having a really hard time the last couple months, because here I live in Hollywood – the movie capital – and Guardians of the Galaxy has been promoted and now is out. Now, for those of you who know, that me and Dave Bautista got in a fight backstage, blah blah blah, that’s how I got fired [from WWE]. So it’s been interesting for me, driving around town and then I just see Dave Bautista’s face everywhere, or I’m sitting at home and then I see Dave Bautista.”

“I was finding myself getting depressed. I’d find myself depressed and I’d wonder ‘Why am I depressed?’ and I would kind of backtrack my day and a lot of times it was triggered by Batista,” she added.

Martinez didn’t stop there; she went a step ahead and revealed that the end is nearly here for her after more than 17 years in the wrestling business.

“I think after those two bookings, I’m pretty much done with in-ring stuff. Sad, but true. I think the time has definitely come and [some] of the – I guess you would say – ‘signs’ that I know that wrestling is done for me [are].”

When as asked why she is leaving the wrestling business, she tied it to the following reasons:
(1) She stated that she really wants to get away to put things right in her life especially as it touches Hollywood and former WWE World Champion Batista (2) She noted that her boyfriend, who stays with Martinez in Hollywood is not a wrestling fanatic and that, often times cause relationships to have issues.

In 2013, Martinez and Batista had a clash over former WWE Diva Melina. She pinned that Batista was talking to Melina in such a rude way and she confronted him which led to a heated verbal exchange between the two superstars and it eventually led to her being fired because wrestling is a “man’s world.”

While that would have gone down the drain for Batista, for Martinez, it’s still fresh; she potent, she has the power to cause her depression and ultimately has the power to force her to change location. Do you think Batista should call to resolve things? Let us know…
