Edge Says He wrestled His Last Match In Toronto
Edge and Sheamus went head-to-head in this week’s SmackDown Main Event, and the match meant a lot to fans.

It was also very important for an R-rated superstar, as he would never wrestle in his hometown again.
Edge and Sheamus had an exciting match to close out this week’s SmackDown. Edge ended up winning by attacking Celtic Warrior with two spears.
The match was important because Edge and Sheamus had never wrestled before.
Sheamus was also responsible for Edge’s mountain bike accident, which convinced him to return to WWE.
After the SmackDown broadcast ended, Edge stayed here to address the live audience.
He said he would never wrestle again in Toronto. This was greeted with great love and respect by Canadian fans who have supported him for many years.
“What I can say is that this is my last one in front of y’all. I don’t think I can make it another full run to get here again for a match.
I’m just being honest with you, but don’t let that be a downer because, man, what an experience you all gave me. I will never forget it.
I will never forget it. When I’m 84 years old, and I don’t remember much, I’m damn sure going to remember this. Thank you.”
WrestlingNewsplus reports exclusively that Edge will not be ending his contract with WWE after tonight.
He’s certainly nearing the end of his tenure with the company, and doesn’t seem likely to be staying long enough to return to Toronto to accommodate WWE’s tour schedule.
