Ronda Rousey may be completely sick of almost everything involving mixed martial arts, but she’s still got big love for lightweight champion Conor McGregor. During her eyebrow raising media blitz with ESPN last week, McGregor was pretty much the only UFC related topic that didn’t result in her flashing a big old scowl.

“I love Conor, he’s awesome!” she gushed during a 30 minute video interview with Brett Okamoto. “He’s always been great to me. He has my utmost respect as an athlete and as a man. I just appreciate him always being so respectful back to me. I just wish nothing but the best things for him.”

“He took so much weight off of my shoulders, as well. I owe a lot to Conor.”

McGregor is well known for his willingness to torch anyone that might gain him some attention, but Ronda Rousey never ended up on that list. The closest he ever came to s**t talking her was making a threesome joke – that he then apologized for!

The double champ apologizes to nobody … except Ronda Rousey.

After her big loss to Holly Holm, McGregor went out of his way to support Rousey, sending her inspirational messages through the media. So he’s gold as far as Ronda is concerned.

“Anything that he wants to do in life, I hope everything works out for him,” she said. “If he doesn’t want to fight ever again, if he wants to hang out at home with his family. Anything he wants to do. If he wants to be come a master blueberry grower, I hope he has the greatest blueberries to ever happen. I love Conor.”

Rousey is set to make her full match debut at WrestleMania 34 on April 8th in New Orleans against Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. Backing her up will be fellow Olympic athlete Kurt Angle … and who knows, maybe Conor McGregor as well?
