Ex WWE Star Allegedly Assaulted Eric Bischoff In WCW

WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff was the head of WCW and oversaw everything that happened in WCW in the ’90s.

However, he was not the most popular person there. In fact, the former WWE star almost physically attacked Eric Bischoff in WCW.

The former WWE Superstar recalled a tense incident with WCW President Eric Bischoff during his time in WCW in a Wrestling Shoot interview.

The conflict arose after Fit Finlay insisted on breaking a table during the match, resulting in an injury.

“So when I threw him this time, when he hit it looked like a bowling ball went through it, just a round hole. The table, the face of it was made from mica, so it cut him up like somebody took an axe right on his knee.”

The next day, Nobbs confronted Bischoff about the incident, annoyed that despite WCW’s hefty $90 million annual income, they refused to invest even $100 in Home Depot safety equipment to prevent injuries during matches. He was pretty disappointed.

“And Eric said, ‘You can’t go blaming this on us.’ And right when I snatched him, Jimmy Hart goes, ‘Come on, baby, we gotta go do something down at the studio.’ And he grabbed me out of there because we did have to do some kind of filming down there. But if not, I was gonna choke Eric out, I swear.”

Nobbs admitted that he almost physically confronted Bischoff and nearly punched him in the face.

Fortunately, Jimmy Hart intervened and told them to take care of another problem at the studio.

It’s a relief that Eric Bischoff didn’t got beat up that day, because it could have had a lot of negative consequences for Brian Nobbs.

Either way, most fans would agree that Nobbs was right.
