LA Knight Current Status For This Week’s SmackDown

LA Knight missed TV last week but it appears there is light at the end of the tunnel. Fans may be in a much better mood about his appearance this week.

LA Knight tested positive for COVID right before Smackdown and had to leave the building. He was introduced into the series in a BIG way.

The main event segment went pretty well as expected without him making the save. Now, LA Knight is expected to return on the September 29 episode of SmackDown.

On the September 22 episode of SmackDown, a contract signing took place between John Cena and AJ Styles for a tag team match against Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline at WWE Fastlane.

However, while Cena signed the contract, Styles was unable to do so as he was attacked backstage by Uso and Solo. This led to The Bloodline defeating Cena, ending the show.

As previously reported, LA Knight was initially expected to come to Cena’s aid, but he tested positive for COVID-19 before the broadcast.

According to PW Insider, WWE sources have verified that Knight is expected to return on the upcoming September 29 episode of SmackDown in Sacramento, California.

Currently, John Cena is scheduled to face The Bloodline in a handicap match on October 7 at WWE Fastlane.

If the original plan involved LA Knight in the match, there’s a good chance that topic will be addressed on tomorrow’s show.

Hopefully LA Knight can return to WWE SmackDown without any problems. Only time will tell if he finds his place in this big match against John Cena.
