Rey Mysterio Suffered Concussion During Smackdown

Published

on

Rey Mysterio is a true veteran of the professional wrestling world and his influence on the industry is undeniable.

He has contributed a lot to the company and won numerous titles over the years. Mysterio apparently suffered a minor concussion during a SmackDown match last month.

In the U.S. Title Tournament Finals, Mysterio faced fellow LWO teammate Santos Escobar in a singles match. Fans were enthusiastic about the game from the beginning.

Unfortunately, Rey Mysterio was seriously injured by Escobar’s dive during the match. As a result, referee Jessica Carr ruled that he was no longer able to compete.

While discussing ten counts with Steve Faure, Santos Escobar was asked if the match went according to plan.

Escobar announced that Rey Mysterio suffered a mild concussion during the game.

“The show that you got was the show that it was going to be.

I believe that it is important to present a good show and I believe that was the case that night.

Rey and I went hard, that’s what we agreed upon. We have a long relationship, we have a bond.

When you have that, you go hard. That’s what happens when you go hard.

He had a small, mild concussion, but he came back and you know what happened.”

Rey Mysterio defeated Austin Theory to win the United States Championship earlier this month, much to the approval of fans and his LWO members.

We’ll have to wait and see what WWE plans for him after his big win.
