Rob Van Dam Claps Back At Fans For CTE Allegations

RVD has been through a lot in his career, but he doesn’t have CTE.

This is something he wanted to clarify by discussing the rumors about him.

RVD learned early in his career that he was actually related to Jean-Claude Van Damme.

This kinship with a strong fighting style is also responsible for a number of head injuries.

After his only match on AEW television, RVD faced haters who claimed he was experiencing lingering symptoms following a concussion.

During his 1 of Kind podcast, RVD had the opportunity to address some rumors about him. Especially on him having CTE.

“People are going to think my brain is fried because of concussions. That’s another think about legacy.

People are going to think their brain works better than mine, somehow faster. People think I’m inferior to them because I’ve had concussions.

but I think if you watch this show, not only can you see that my brain functions fine, and you can also see that I smoke a couple of joints and I don’t get ‘baked’ or ‘f*cked up.’”

“People are going to think I have CTE. That’s what they’re gonna talk about. Of course, I don’t have CTE. CTE is a degenerative and worsening thing, I don’t have it.

I don’t even have longterm brain damage except for one thing that one idiot on social media knows about.

Not to mention that I went through all the tests and doctors and neurologists, but still it’s gonna go down in history, because fans are idiots,

that RVD had CTE and that’s why he doesn’t wrestle, because they don’t care about the truth.”

RVD previously denied rumors that WWE would not let him wrestle due to his history of concussions.

After all, he appeared recently, but he was not in the ring.
