WWE MAKES A lot Of Cash Off Slim Battle Royal At SummerSlam

WWE will be hosting SummerSlam at Ford Field in Detroit on August 5, and the card will come together in a big way.

There are eight matches scheduled for the big show so far, but adding one must have changed a lot.

WWE has raised more sponsorships this year than ever before in the company’s history. CEO Nick Khan proudly announced this during WWE’s Q2 2023 earnings call.

That being said, this SummerSlam deal with Slim Jim falls into next quarter’s statement.

WWE had to make things work because they were open for business and wanted to make as much money as possible. With that said, it’s very likely that matches have to be rescheduled in the process to make room for Slim Jim’s new sponsorship.

WWE’s Treatment Of Women Division Causes Uprising

The company switched Becky Lynch against Trish Stratus at their Winnipeg gig, and although it was a huge draw in Canada, it was originally supposed to take place at SummerSlam.

There’s also the possibility that WWE could add Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez’s women’s world championship bout to the biggest party of the summer, so that contest may well have to wait.

We’ll have to see how SummerSlam plays out, as everyone in pro wrestling will be watching Detroit closely that night.
