NWA Hall of Famer Nikita Koloff has offered some high praise to WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.

The NWA legend Nikita Koloff says he understands what Ronda Rousey is going through as someone who had success early on in his pro wrestling career.

During her time in the UFC, she was the biggest star the promotion had alongside the likes of Jon Jones and Conor McGregor.

While in the peak of her MMA career, she was hyped as the baddest women on the planet.

As the sport evolved, she pursued her new career as a pro wrestler and became a WWE star where she has made a great transition from the MMA world to the pro wrestling business.

Koloff spoke about how fast she has picked up the art of wrestling while on Busted Open Radio.

This is where he noted that he thinks that although Rousey hasn’t paid her dues in pro wrestling, she has in other ways.

He compared his situation to Rousey where he got a lot of flack for not going through training school or camp or amateur wrestling but paid his dues in other ways just like Rousey.

“(Ronda) has paid her dues in other ways and certainly deserves all the accolades she’s getting regardless of what others think. Maybe not in the wrestling ring, but she’s paid her dues.”
