The anticipations of millions of wrestling lovers all over the world have been raised to the sky on who the new Champion would be, this is because the battle over the TNA world Heavyweight Title has attracted quite a lot of guessing and voting all over the internet.

As seen on tonight’s Impact Wrestling, Matt Hardy defeated Ethan Carter III to become the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion. This is Hardy’s second reign with the title.
Tonight’s Career vs. Title main event also saw a double turn as Hardy turned heel. He now has Tyrus and wife Reby Sky with him after Tyrus turned on EC3.

Hardy and EC3 have been feuding for the World Heavyweight Title since the summer of 2015. Hardy lost two title matches but then won the title in a Triple Threat with Drew Galloway at Bound For Glory in October. Hardy had to relinquish the title due to a storyline injunction from EC3, leading to the TNA World Title Series that lasted for several months.

The finals were held on January 5th and featured EC3 defeating Hardy to win the vacant World Heavyweight Title. Two weeks later and Hardy is champion once again. The match was taped back on January 8th, just three days after EC3’s big win.
