A report just dropped in stating that popular WWE superstar has bowed out of professional wrestling.

Steve Austin a.k.a “Stone Cold” has always talked about his intention to quit pro wrestling but this time it seems he just went a step further. He stated outright that he is done, that he doesn’t need to wrestle anymore. The end of the road for Stone Cold historic career?

On the latest episode of his podcast, Stone Cold categorically stated that he “doesn’t need to wrestle anymore.”
He said, “…I’m not willing to do anything that my heart’s not set on. I love my fans, I love the WWE fans, I love wrestling fans, I love wrestling… I just don’t need to wrestle anymore.”

Judging by the statement above, it’s obvious Austin has no intention to wrestle anymore which gives us the grace to fall back on his earlier statement where he reportedly stated that he’s done as an in-ring performer.

Although, this update may not go down well with a number of WWE fans who wanted Austin to perform at least once more especially at WrestleMania 32 where he is being rumored to be facing Brock Lesnar but that may not be possible as Austin says he has closed the door as a wrestler.

However, if Austin leaves the door open for one more match and eventually faces Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32, it may likely be the toughest match in history translating into big money for WWE as the match is taking place in Austin’s home state.
