After waiting for a long time, Everton’s fans are very happy to hear the final confirmation that Roland Koeman is their new manager.

Sky sport reported that the Liverpool paid Southampton 5 million (Euros) for the manager who had one more year at the saint.

Koeman arrived in the Premier League at the beginning if the 2014/15 season and has recorded great success. He broke his team premier league point record, guided them to sixth place and earned them a spot in Europa League next season.

Everton’s chairman Bill Kenwright was very pleased to have finalized the deal.

He said

“We are really pleased to have secured the man who was our No 1 target from the moment we set out to appoint a new manager.

“Ronald has such a strong track record in the game, instantly commanding respect for what he achieved as a player and for his qualities and accomplishments as a manager.”

The new manager’s first job in Everton will be to decide of he wants to keep striker Romelu Lukaku or cash in on his stellar season in front of goal and the apparent interest many top clubs have in him. He faces a similar decision with young centre back John Stones as well.
