Gunther Set To Take Over Roman Reign’s Role

Gunther has established himself as one of WWE’s Greatest All-Time Superstars since debuting with the company in January 2019.

In the years since, he’s proven himself to be a formidable force.

Now it seems some people believe that Gunther could take on the role of the face of the WWE for Roman Reigns.

After beating Chand Gable on RAW this week, fans have accepted that Gunther will make history.

That’s what happened today as he is now the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time with 454 days, surpassing The Honky Tonk Man.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray spoke about the reign of the Gunther dynasty, which also shares similarities with Roman Reigns.

When asked if Gunther could take on Roman Reigns’ role as the face of WWE by becoming the undisputed Universal Champion, Ray made it clear that he was convinced Gunther was capable.

“Without a doubt. [A] Throwback champion.”

We’ll have to wait and see if Gunther eventually becomes the face of WWE if Roman Reigns ever decides to go easy, because fans might be thrilled by the idea.
