The 45-year-old, real name Tammy Sytch, is said to be behind bars in New Jersey with cops describing her as a “fugitive from justice.” TMZ broke the news this morning that the WWE Hall of Famer was locked up again and is being held on £1,800 bond.
According to Monmouth County Sheriffs’ Office, Sytch is facing six charges of Contempt – Disobedience/resistance. The charges are related to Sytch not appearing before the court in two different jurisdictions. There is still no word on the exact circumstances of the situation that led to her being cuffed in New Jersey.
– On Saturday, Title Match Wrestling released the trailer for Tammy Sytch’s latest shoot interview, Reflections with Tammy Sytch – Always Shining.
Here is the synopsis:
“WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch (Sunny) speaks candidly about her troubled road to peace, her arrests, battle with alcohol and her long road to recovery. Find out more about her relationships with Vince McMahon, Shawn Michaels, and her beloved connection with the late Chris Candido. In true “Sunny” form the interview takes many unexpected twists and turns as we recount some of her most famous controversies. We recall past flames and maybe even take a peek into her phones photo album…? We delve into her foray into the adult film world as she sets the record straight and tells all that lead to that decision. She speaks on her Hall of Fame induction and what her feelings are on the current state of women in the business.”
Sytch was arrested four times in Pennsylvania between 2015 and 2016 and pleaded guilty to a trio of DUIs after completing initial rehab program.
Judge Joseph T. Matika sentenced her to 97 days in prison, only to then give her credit for 95 days in rehab and two days in jail. She was released without spending a single day behind bars – although she was warned that any trouble during her probation would have consequences.
But just 18 days later she was banged up again as she pleaded guilty to driving without a licence, driving an unregistered vehicle, operating a vehicle with no insurance and having licence plates displayed that did not belong to her.
She was fined $1,496.45 as part of an agreement made with prosecutors that led to them dropping the most severe charge of receiving stolen property. Prosecutors also dropped a charge of fraudulent use or removal of registered licensed plates.
Onto February 2017 and she was paroled from Carbon County Correctional Facility in Pennsylvania after agreeing to attend a WWE-sponsored rehab. Upon release, she was ordered to report directly to the in-patient drug rehabilitation centre, successfully complete any aftercare recommendations and report to the probation office upon completion.
The conditions of release also ordered Sytch to perform 75 hours of community service and that she would have a “zero-tolerance” threshold for possession or consumption of alcohol and non-prescribed medication. That rule also applied for any missed urine screens without a legitimate excuse.
As Sunny, Sytch was one of wrestling’s biggest names back in the mid-90s. Working for WWE as a presenter and manager, she has since gone on to forge a successful career in the porn industry.
But she became embroiled in a Twitter row after one of her followers responded to a Tweet of hers regarding comments she made several years ago. After advertising her webcam sessions, Sunny responded to a man who said he refused to follow her because “I am a half black man and in an interview you said you don’t like us.”
In response, Sunny wrote: “I’m not racist. Just because I’m not physically or sexually attracted to black people doesn’t make me racist. I’m not attracted to Asians too.”
The Tweeter appeared to be referencing an interview she did for a Q&A series YouShoot in 2012. During it she said she refused to be an on-screen couple with African American wrestler Farooq, real name Ron Simmons, and hit back at rumours she slept with him and another black wrestler Ahmed Johnson.
She said: “What is with the black men?” Send a white man my way, not that I am racial in any way shape or form, but I just don’t do that.” She later claimed in the interview that “black athletes love me” due to her “blonde hair, the boobs, and the butt”. Sunny then lists a number of names before saying: “I don’t get any white guys, it’s all the black guys”.
