According to TMZ, former WWE Champion Rob Van Dam and his wife Sonya Szatkowski, have gone their separate ways after 17 years of marriage.

Sonya filed divorce papers in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple actually split back in December.

Rob Van Dam known to wrestling fans as SVD over the years, jumped back on the horse quickly after ending his 17-year marriage, and with good reason.

Sonya is asking for her last name to be restored to Delbeck, spousal support and for Rob to pay her legal fees. She told TMZ that the two are still on relatively good terms and still talking but the marriage wasn’t working anymore. She said:

“It’s a private time. It’s a hard thing for me to even talk about.”

Furthermore, TMZ reported again that, SVD is now dating independent wrestler Katie Forbes. RVD and Forbes have been dating since May.

Rob’s dating professional wrestler Katie Forbes … we’re told it’s been going on since May … around the time his wife filed for divorce.

It’s not like Swifty and Hiddleston, allegedly — we’re told Rob and his ex, Sonya Szatkowski, had been separated for a while before Rob hooked up.

Rob and Katie met back in April at a wrestling convention — at adjoining signing booths.
