Vince McMahon apparently has new plans for his golden boy. The only question left to ask is if it has anything to do with his golden boy’s words to a young fan about his favorite thing to eat.

While the original rumors going around called for a rematch between John Cena and AJ Styles, which would eventually culminate in a title match at WrestleMania 33, plans are now swirling that John Cena’s place will be a lot further down on the card.

In fact, it is being said that he will have a return match against Baron Corbin at The Royal Rumble pay per view. No word yet on who will actually come out of this contest with the win, but one would have to imagine Corbin walking out with the victory at The Rumble, especially since it would do wonders for his staggering career on the main roster.

With that being said and Vince McMahon’s rumored unhappiness with Cena’s words to a young fan at a Q&A session last month, this seems more like a punishment for Cena’s actions then anything else. This can be confirmed by the fact that Cena’s Survivor Series appearance was canceled, seemingly to avoid any negative media attention and the fact that Cena’s Royal Rumble plans are now changed as well.
